Funny, sad, confusing, empty,..sigh… Parenting style is really based on the parents view of the world, of humanity and of what our purpose is for even being here on this Earth. If the parent is confused about any of those things, or tries to make up something that is popular in the current culture, or is just rebelling against a previous culture, they’re going to lay an unhealthy burden on their kids.

This video shows just sheer parental indoctrination. Bad religion comes in all forms whether a god is admitted or not.

I remember thinking it was funny and interesting when I handed my 1 yr old son a little car toy and he immediately started scrubbing it back and forth on the floor making vroom, vroom sounds. I just giggled and thought, “Well, there goes any belief in that gender-neutral theory. Well, maybe a girl would have done that too but more likely she would look at it and try to figure out how it worked…maybe she’d just kiss and hug it…maybe.

I say, let our kids be. Just get behind them and let them lead. Don’t over-protect. Don’t try to get them to join your social/political thing. Stay near. Hug. Feed. Observe. And be genuinely who you are; honest yet separate from what you imagine your kids are suppose to be. Want them to believe what you believe? Pray…and live it.

Wish I’d thought this through before I had kids.

Gosh Oystergirl, you sure do get me going! geeeeeee
