I’ve been a very bad blogger lately. I haven’t been the greatest gardener, either. This summer’s been crazy, partly because I got a “regular” job… which is great in a lot of ways but a total bummer in others.
So this gardening update is long overdue.
What else was overdue was supporting my tomato plants better. I finally had to tie them to the neighbor’s fence:
The pepper plants are going mad, too. I’m not used to that; I’ve never had successful pepper plants.
Little-finger carrots and Swiss chard:
Kale and arugula:
Late cherry tomato plants, also only just supported:
In other news, I found purslane in the gutter!
I later found some growing in my herb garden, so I feel better about eating that. 😉
In an upcoming post I will highlight what I’ve been making with the bounty.
What have you got growing this year, and how are you using it?
