Add egg nog to everything!

I made homemade egg nog.

I put it in my tea, instead of milk.

I put it on my Indian pudding (see my posts on Facebook and Instagram about Indian pudding), along with the heavy cream.

Best. Ideas. Ever.

I’ve been making egg nog for years, but never thought to do so much with it. I think it might become a staple in the house now!

Do you have ideas on how to use egg nog in other ways?

We love eggnog around here…since we have chickens and ducks…well, we’ve got to use those things, eh? Eggnog is my husband’s rush-to breakfast. 3 eggs whirred up in raw milk with the immersion blender, down the hatch and off he goes. Me? I like to doll it up just a little with a little drizzle of maple syrup and a pinch of nutmeg. But then, I’m not usually in a rush. Gosh it’s good; so refreshing. Especially on a warm, summer morning, if I can remember what that is like right now 🙂
I might have to try it in my tea; never thought of that. I’ll have to go take a look at your Indian pudding.

It is a great way to use up eggs! What a perfect breakfast—I’ve never had it without sweetener and seasoning, I might try that soon.

I like that you associate it with summertime—for most Americans, of course, it is strictly a Christmas thing. Which I consider a travesty.

I just edited this post with actual links to the social media posts about Indian pudding (which includes a recipe), which I so rushedly referred to—so you can check those out.

And I just posted my egg nog recipe - /easy-egg-nog-recipe-raw-real-food-primal/

Thanks, as always Annie, for sharing. 🙂

Yes, “travesty” is a good word for enjoying eggnog only during winter holidays. But when one adds a bit of rum, well, that might be a holiday thing…or…hmmm, sounds good even right now…

The bigger travesty is that junk sold in supermarkets called “eggnog”. It is so gross with its chemical flavorings and thickeners. Who needs that carp?? And besides they cook the bajeezus out of it.

Thanks for the Indian Pudding recipe. I was wondering where you hid it.
