One nice thing about working from home

One nice thing about working from home is that even when I’m under the weather, I can still work, and take care of myself at the same time.

Not that I am averse to taking time off. But I’m not so unwell for that—just feeling kind of blech.

There’s no arbitrary workplace decorum I need to maintain. I can be productive /because/ I can also do what I need to do to feel the best I can feel right now (that is, without having to medicate myself to stave off symptoms while ignoring the cues my body is telling me: to SLOW. DOWN.)

Right now I’m propped up on the couch (a rarity! I usually work while sitting on the floor or standing), wearing cozy clothes (not a rarity), my laptop on a pillow on my lap, a hot water bottle on my belly, tea and seaweed snacks and my phone on the table next to me, calming music on the PA across the room that I control from my phone…

I’m feeling pretty lucky to be able to do all this right now!
